Facebook rolls out dark mode
Facebook has been making dark mode for the iOS app for a while now. In February, the feature was already for Facebook Lite, but the standard Facebook app was still delayed.

In April, the feature was released in a beta version. Now Facebook is finally rolling out the public feature to the first users.
How to Activate Facebook Dark Mode
- Open the Facebook app and tap the menu (three dashes) at the bottom right;
- Scroll down and tap on ‘Settings and privacy’;
- Tap on ‘Dark Mode’.
The option is only under ‘Settings and privacy’ if you already have the function. Can’t you see it? Then you have to be patient: The app will update itself.

Doesn’t work with everyone yet
Facebook has confirmed that the feature will first appear for a small percentage of its users. Ironically, the first users share on Twitter that dark mode is available to them.
It is not yet clear when the function will be available to everyone. However, that does not seem to be long. The web version of the social media platform has also gotten a dark
mode.
The Android app is the only one in the Facebook app family that still lacks a dark mode. The social media platform recently released the dark mode for Facebook Messenger. Even Facebook Lite supported the position already. WhatsApp, which is also part of Facebook, has now also been a dark mode.
