According to the latest news, when you buy an iPhone, there will no longer be a charger in the box. You may have to buy it yourself. But there is also good news: you do get a new, improved charging cable. New leaked photos show what it looks like.
New iPhone charging cable
The photos are shared by @L0vetodream. Although the Twitter account looks questionable, it is perhaps the most reliable Apple tasty of the moment. The Twitterer previously released that Apple makes an improved Lightning cable, but is now sharing photos for the first time.

The photos show a USB-C to Lightning cable with a braided design. They will likely ship with the iPhone 12 models coming this fall. A braided cable is a lot sturdier than today’s rubber-coated Lightning cables. A cable break is less likely to occur there.
In the photo, we see a white and a black cable. The black is the new charging cable for the iMac Pro, L0vetodream reports. What is striking is that there is no extra reinforcement at the end of the white charging cable. This is usually the case with braided cables and makes them extra durable.

Why USB-C?
This fall, Apple will release no less than four iPhone 12 models.
