Android Auto introduces a new interface in Android for the settings. The new view is better structured and thus more organized.
Android Auto settings
Android Auto recently got a settings app in their car’s interface for the first time, giving you instant access to the most important things you want to adjust. That, along with the new music controls and the wider rollout of Android Auto Wireless, is part of the innovations Google announced in recent weeks.
However, you still have to look at the Android Auto settings of your smartphone for the complete overview of the settings for your car. Google has now improved that settings menu with a new update, users discovered on Reddit. At the top, there is a large image of Android Auto, and below that, you can see how you are connected to your car and the status of that connection.
New layout
In the options below you can also adjust the launcher of Android Auto, just like the operation of the Google Assistant. There is also a section with settings for displaying notifications and also for activating the wireless variant of Android Auto. Android Auto did not receive any new settings with this update, but the functions can be found more clearly.
The new menu is part of version 5.5.602944 of the Android Auto app. Android Auto is still not officially available from us, but we already saw the new menu in the app that we could install via APK Mirror.
