The Chinese Center for Information and Industrial Development (CCID) has released its 18th Global Public Blockchain Evaluation Index. it is a ranking of the 37 most promising cryptocurrencies.
However, with a score of 106.2, Bitcoin only took 12th place. The criteria used to evaluate the various cryptocurrencies are manifold: basic technology, applicability, characteristics, performance, security, innovation, and decentralization

Evaluation Index
At the top of the ranking is EOS, with 156.1 points. Follow TRON and Ethereum ( ETH ), with a score of 138.43 and 136.4 respectively.
In the fourth and fifth places, the CCID experts placed IOST with 130.3 points and LSK with 119.3 points. XRP, currently the fourth most important cryptocurrency by capitalization, wins only 14th place.

Compared to December’s ranking last year, Bitcoin lost several positions: at the time, despite the slightly lower score of 103.9, it was in 9th place.
The difficult relationship between Tron and the Chinese authorities
Although the project took second place, relations between Tron and the Chinese government are far from positive. In 2019 Justin Sun, founder and CEO of Tron revealed that the Chinese authorities had questioned the legal status of the platform.
In July of the same year, the police had even surrounded a Tron office in Beijing. At the time, the media claimed that law enforcement officers broke into the building, but Sun denied the news.
