Firefox has taken a big step as it has updated its browser with all the features from the Firefox Preview browser and the new GeckoView engine

Mozilla has rolled out a major update to its Firefox browser based on the Fenix browser or Firefox Preview. Last year, it was first announced in April! that Mozilla is working on a successor to its Firefox browser. A few months later, in the summer of 2019, the beta version of the new browser followed. Mozilla’s browser was renamed ‘Firefox Nightly’, and the trial version was closed this month so that it can be exchanged for the stable update for Mozilla Firefox

The Firefox browser is now getting the update from version 68 to 79 that adds all the features of Nightly. One of the most important novelties in ‘Collections’. You can bundle important websites, tabs and searches on the start screen of the browser for direct access. An important novelty is also the reading mode with which you can activate a read-friendly mode at any website with the push of a button. Firefox then eliminates advertisements, images and other factors that you may experience as disturbing while reading.
Firefox also has a new dark mode, improved private tabs and the ability to put website shortcuts on the home screen. The only drawback that comes with the update is the fact that the new version of Firefox does not yet work with all the extensions available for Firefox. At the moment they are not yet compatible with the new GeckoView engine, although work is underway.
Availability
